The rooms are pretty nice and its a good distance from beach. People who work there (including management) apparently lack common sense and any business ethics. I ended up staying the remaining 5 out of my 6 nights at another hotel. more

The Diamond Head Inn was a great little hotel on the boardwalk at Pacific Beach. I believe they have just over 20 rooms. All but 2 only host 1 bed. This place is perfect for the beach lover. No need to hire a car when staying here as the number 30 bus at the corner of the street will take you to Old Town where you can get around so easily. I booked one room here because the price was better than other beachfront hotels. The room is clean- slightly dated- and the amenities are not modern- but acceptable.
