Stayed here for CTIA Conference in San Diego. Good basic hotel. Free wireless, a kitchen that's not bad (they do a decent breakfast), and friendly and helpful staff. It's basic, and is being done - up. I liked it. Especially the price - which was cheap! 20 minute walk to the conference centre (and also Gaslamp area). more

Really nice granite countertops in the bathroom; love the setup in there. Roomy, spacious, and relaxing. Within walking distance of the Gaslamp district and Balboa Park. We checked in, got to our room, and only one key out of three worked. The room, which was an "upgrade", was smaller than we anticipated, had no refrigerator, no microwave, and no luggage rack (we had to put our suitcase on the floor). I enjoyed the Holiday Inn Downtown very much. The rooms where remodeled very nicely with nice flat screen tv's and very nice beds. The bathrooms were very state of the art also. Very convienent to the freeway which is right outside the exit from the hotel parking lot. We did not hear any freeway nose at all which suprised me.... more
