The Holiday Inn San Diego - Mission Valley was an ok hotel, and meets the needs if you need a place to stay. We stay as part of a business trip - the hotel is relatively clean, but the overall appearance is dark and drury. The room was clean, other than a huge stain on the carpet right as we... more

Don't do it! If you are going to San Diego, pay the extra money to stay in the Gaslamp District. This Holiday Inn should have been called a motel instead of a hotel. Don't let the photos of the lobby fool you like they did me! It wasn't clean enough ...the shower curtain had makeup or something all over it... more

Price line has this as a 3 which is an upscale hotel defiantely not upscale. Property is located off the 15 I wouldnt call it Misson Valley as it located more in Kearney Mesa. Room are very average no mini bars, beds are very hard and no high end beddings. No comforters and pillows were old and lumpy. Did I... more

Location - We booked through Priceline and were expecting a property closer to Sea World in the hotel circle area. Oh well. The hotel is located right next to I-15 within a professional business park. You can hear the freeway from inside the rooms at the back of the hotel. This wasn't a problem for us, but it could be... more

Ok, now I wish I would have written a re- view for the last 4 times we have stayed here! They were at the beginning of re-doing the hotel last I wrote about it in 2005 I think it was....and yes...it is done and it never was THAT bad to start with. Look you guy's, you can't beat the price,... more

This is an older Holiday Inn that is good in some places, and a little lacking in others. Overall, it is a decent value if you can get it at a discounted price. Value - through Priceline, I was able to book this hotel for a three night stay 12/1-4/2006 at $45 a night. Including taxes and fees, it came... more

Stayed two nights, paid $56 a night through Priceline, reg price would have been $115 a night. It was a value deal at $56 I would have been disappointed in the room at $115. I would stay there again at the reduced rate. Good location 15 minutes from Sea World. Pool was small but the kids had fun. Good value... more

Got the room for $55 off of priceline and it was worth it for the savings. Hotels can be very pricey in San Diego, $100 and above even for a hotel like this. I have stayed in some real dumps for $200 a night. It's hard to know from one to the next, it is the luck of the draw... more

We stayed at the Holiday Inn for 3 nights in January 2006. The hotel front desk staff were professional and prompt. The rooms were good, nothing fancy but very comfortable. The housekeeping staff did their job well. We did not eat in the hotel but we peeked in and the facilities looked clean. The hotel is not brand new and... more

For a Holiday Inn property, which are usually clean and comfortable - this one needs a serious remodel! I made the reservation on Priceline, next time I will take my loss and lose my prepayment rather then staying at this property. I called ahead and let them know I made the reservation on Priceline and I heard bad things about... more
