While it is strangely not clear from the hotel's website or from the Tripadvisor scores, this struck me as a very family oriented hotel - which makes sense, given it's proximity to Sea World. I just wasn't prepared for the full-on day-care kids camp that I encountered. If I did have children, I might choose this place, but have no... more

Expected a lot more from on waterfront marina suite. The room was noisy from the airport, annoying seagulls, and loud parking lot. Did not sleep a wink. Low quality carpet and furniture. I can't even believe this hotel is rated 4 stars. Terrible terrible experience. Red Marlin was overpriced for the quality. Will never go back. The only thing my... more

We stayed at the Hyatt for 3 nights while visiting San Diego. Our room was very spacious with a bay view. The pool area was fantastic and it was also nice to have a bagel/coffee shop on the property, although it was pretty pricey. We were very happy with our decision to stay at the Hyatt due to its central... more

We stayed at the Hyatt Regency Mission Bay in San Diego while visiting Southern California. We only stayed one night, but enjoyed the stay. The positives of the hotel include the location. It has beautiful views, and is close to seaworld, which is where we spent most of our time in San Diego. The pool area is stunning. There are... more

So I found this hyatt after looking for a hotel close to the beach and a chain that I trust that is Hyatt. I booked a regular room in the tower and ended up changing to the Marina Suites because of the great deal Hyatt gave as a Limited time offer type deal. We arrived and literally its only 10... more

This hotel is lovely and in a great location for Seaworld. I was disappointed when I checked in and found out I wasn't eligable for a Tower room, because I went through Hotwire. But Hotwire doesn't tell you when you book the room though them that you won't get the tower room. Our room was facing a parking lot, and... more

I have stayed at this hotel a few times throughout their renovation period. I have also stayed there since. Every time I check in, they try to give me one of their "crappy" rooms in the building separated from the main tower. These rooms are not so nice (and were not renovated). I will be staying there again in two... more

We liked this hotel, we stayed in the suites section overlooking the marina. It's not really near anything other than Sea World, it's pretty private. Beautiful grounds, very good service, we found the front desk and conceirge to be very helpful. It's a very nice hotel overlooking the bay and being away from it all. more

Just came back from a memorial weekend trip (may 2009) to this hotel. If you stay in the tower you will have a good experience. Unfortunately they gave us the two-story "Bay" buildings. My room with 2 queen beds was very small. They give me 3 towels for all 3 days I stay here! The worst part is that my... more

I stayed here for a conference. Got a king room with a view of the Marina. The room was large and spacious, fantastic shower, clean fluffy towels. The room has a very nice little deck with a comfy chair to sit in, have a coffee, and watch the sun rise. The restaurant (Red Marlin?) was reasonably priced and the food... more
