Upon check-in, my husband was greeted by grumpy staff. They placed us NEXT to the elevator, when we had specifically requested to be away from the elevators. We stayed here with my two 2 1/2 year olds, and a 10-year old. The room was rough - carpet was visibly dingy and gross. Granite counter tops had been placed over warped,... more

The property is old style. Doors open to the outside. There is a decent continental breakfast offered in the morning. The pool area was fairly nice. On the downside we did have a ladybug in our bed on both mornings. No idea where it came from. more

We needed a place to stay way after midnight (2:30am). The Days Inn had smoking rooms only left but it works for $75 on Saturday night. Our double queen room (119) was very clean with a full kitchen, microwave, dishwasher, electric stove top and full fridge! Don't forget the granite counter tops in the kitchen and bathroom! The beds were... more

We arrived and tried to check in only to be told that our room was not ready and that there was some trouble with water. Apparently the hotel had no water! We had called to confirm just a short while before and they said "sure, come on in". I guess they wanted us to come all the way over before... more

I have driven across the United States and have stayed in some pretty humble accommodations along the way. I can honestly say that I've slept in $29/night truck stop motels that were more pleasant than this one. When I arrived I was given a "non-smoking" room that smelled of smoke (or maybe it was mold). When I complained, I was... more

We stayed here due to the rate and ratings that we found online. I thought it can't be that bad. My family and I were vacationing and taking the kids to Sea World. It is rather close but I would not stay here again. The front desk was not helpful and it takes forever to get hot water. The carpets... more

I thought it was a nice location, near condos and apartments rather than a bunch of other local motels/hotels. Easy access to the freeway was really nice and there is an Albertsons and a Von's close by. The San Diego Zoo and Sea World are a short distance from the hotel and the Wild Animal Park isn't a bad drive... more

Stayed at Mission Valley for 3 nights, due to our previous hotel being cancelled (long story). This place was booked by our travel agent at the very last minute, wish it wasn't!! Firstly it's miles from the centre of San Diego and so you need a car to go anywhere, wouldn't rely on buses or taxis as we also tried... more

Don't book on-line because this hotel is part of a chain that has a "buy now" feature that makes your room non-cancellable no matter how much notice you give. Trick is, the buy now feature is a default and you may be making non-cancellable reservations without realizing it. If you are careful and alert, it may be okay to use... more

**** DO NOT USE FOR EXTENDED STAY **** Stayed in a King Bedroom My Fiance and I stayed for four nights and got sick. She left with a pretty bad headache and really congested. Negatives: The Air conditioner had mold or something inside of it because it blew dust and gave a musty smell. 2 out of the 3 lamps... more
