I stayed at the US Grant on a business trip while in San Diego for a conference and was pleased with the stay. When I arrived I was given a suite on the 8th floor based on the deal that I booked, and was actually upgraded to a nicer one, though in reality I couldn't tell the difference. The suite... more

This is a great hotel that is comfortable and classy. I stayed in a deluxe corner room on the sixth floor. Very comfortable and nice. The bar and bartender (Bruce?) were top notch. The food was excellent. This place is also walking distance to the Harbor (10 minutes) and the gaslamp quarter (1-5 minutes). Lots of fun night clubs within... more

the husband and I stayed only one night at the grant on a short road trip to san diego. it is beautifully renovated, quiet (despite the room having had an awesome sound system), and comfortable. you get what you pay for here, that's for sure. it is located across the street from the horton plaza and is on the edge... more

From the moment I arrived, I knew I was in good hands. The lovely person who checked me in, Demi, took great care of me, providing me with an upgrade to a fantastic suite. Since my daughter was joining me for a birthday treat, she made sure to make us both were very pampered! The suite was incredibly spacious, comfortable... more

Stayed for one night in a king room. Our room was on the top floor overlooking Broadway, but it was very quiet. The walls have the most beautiful molding. While the room was lovely, there was not much space to move around. The bathroom had a beautiful shower with a great shower head, but there was no tub. The towels... more

Stayed here for 1 night for business. Room was on the 11th floor and was great. Good views and very big flat screen TV. The hotel is older, but tastefully modernized. Huge Bathroom and great shower. Room service was very good however a bit overpriced. I was very happy with my stay untill I checked my credit card today. Sure... more

We just returned from a brief business (my wife's, I'm retired) trip to San Diego. We had stayed at the Grant years ago and were pleased with the improvements. I got a fabulous deal on hotel.com - prepaid non-refundable for superior room for 3 nights at $137.25/night. Even the concierge was surprised by the rate. That's okay, they make up... more

I had my wedding ceremony and reception at the US Grant. The hotel is beautiful, the staff at the front desk, valet, concierge, waiters, etc. were wonderful. We got a lot of compliments from our guests about the ballrooms and guest rooms. But, the catering department was completely unsatisfactory. They made mistakes with our food and beverage, and when I... more

I have just returned from a six day stay in the US Grant and its landmark suite. The welcome from the sales manager, the front office manager and all the staff can onlz be summed up as astounding. The suite was decent in size, spotlessly clean, had several welcome gifts in it and was perfect for the purpose. There is... more

The Westin offered me a suite across the street. I thought it would be best to try a new hotel. I booked a very expensive room at The US Grant during Thanksgiving with a friend. As an SPG Gold member, we received no upgrades, only late check out. This was a four night stay and our room was way too... more
