I stayed at the Country Inn and Suites because I had a meeting at UCSD. The location was perfect for access to UCSD which was only about a five minute drive away. The hotel was also within easy driving distance of many restaurants and stores. The area was new and nice and I felt safe. The hotel itself was nice.... more

This place is a good value, although it's about a 15-minute drive to downtown SD, without traffic. But it's quiet, the staff are very friendly and my room was super clean. But it was a hotel - sterile and lacking personality. Oh well, at least they gave me a free cookie when I checked in! more

The hotel was nice, and they had free cookies in the evening. The check-in went smoothly. We got a weekend nightly rate of only $97 on hotels.com. Stayed on the 7th floor, which was extremely chilly when we got off the elevators. They keep the main area 59 degrees in the halls. The hallway had a funny odor too, not... more

For the price paid, one cannot beat. It reminds me a full-service Radisson that's been reflagged. Well-maintained hotel and rooms. Full American Breakfast with hot selections. Internet access is fair if you're on a high floor. Had to sit near the hotel door to get it. If you're looking for places to eat at though, it requires a little drive.... more

I had read good reviews of this place and decided to give it a try when my husband and I went for a weekend to San Diego. We paid a very good price--the hotel discounts for staying more than one night. The hotel was very well kept and inviting, the room was comfortable, beds comfortable. Free wireless in our room... more

The first time I stayed at the Country Inn was in 2003; My brother had just graduated boot camp and we needed a place to stay near Parris Island. Even though the area wasn't that great, we loved the Country Inn. From the moment we walked in, we felt very welcome. When we needed a place to stay in, or... more

Difficult to put this hotel down. We paid a low price on priceline. Was given a room on the second floor at the very end. Mostly positives:The room turned out to be very clean and functional. Parking was free, was able to park the car just below our window. Wireless Internet is free and worked fine. There is a complimentary... more

We have stayed in everything from Four Seasons to motels, but usually prefer Marriot, Hilton or something in that range.Great experience. We paid $119 for a suite, two rooms on Travelocity. Some rooms have a living room and seperate bedroom which they call suites. Check prices because I noticed a wide variation depending on which site you use. A little... more

My family stayed here for 4 nights and I can say we were not very impressed. We originally booked a suite only to find out that all suite rooms are located next to the very noisy ice & bevarge machines and the elevators. They offered up a move to a regular room as a compromise and told us they could... more
