I made a reservation with this hideous hotel three weeks before our arrival. After driving all throughout the night, we arrived to discover our reservations were CANCELLED, without any notification!! We then found out the hotel capacity was negative six and had to drive sixteen miles to the only hotel with an available room. The receptionist did not apologize, and... more

MINUSES - Showgirls, Hustler and among other adult shows are nearby. Confusing streets but if you have a navigation system, you will be OK. Parking is a MESS. Unless you have a can opener or you have a motorcycle, you cannot park. Place needs good lighting and too many transients nearby. PLUSES - many places to eat. one mile away... more

Holiday inn/Mission Plaza was a terrible choice. I watched a music video on tv (which when I selected said free of charge) and was charged$15.00!!! When I asked the front desk, they gave me the run around. I spoke with a manager named Katie who rolled her eyes when I explained my situation. She also gave me the run around.... more

I've stayed here twice. I might have gotten lucky both times, but I ended up in very large corner rooms. (I looked at the fire-escape map, and my rooms were clearly bigger than average.) The rooms seemed extremely clean and nice condition, 4 large pillows on each bed. The only annoyance -- which other reivewers have mentioned -- is that... more

We stayed in building C. I was looking forward to a relaxing bath on our first night and when I filled the tub with water, the water was a rusty/orange/yellow color. I drained the tub and ran it again and it was the same color. Gross! Then, when I pulled down the comforter, a huge cockroach crawled quickly on top... more

We took our first family vacation since my husband graduated Optometry School, and I would have to say "DEFINITELY NOT impressed with this Holiday Inn". We thought since we were paying for the "suite" we would have more space than your average room. Well, we assumed wrong. This particular Holiday Inn took an average room, shoved two "queen" (more like... more

We stayed here for 3 nights in January 2009. The price was reasonable. We chose this place as it was close to everything. Also the 3 children could sleep in a room sepaerate from us. Unfortunately 2 had to sleep in the same bed - the room had 2 double beds. We slept on a fold out sofa bed in... more

My husband and I stayed at this Holiday Inn for two days while visiting for a graduation. We got a very good rate-around $90/night. However, I would have rather paid more to stay elsewhere. In all my interactions with staff, no one smiled at me the whole time we were there. The rooms are adequate, but a tight fit. The... more

We staid here 3 nights trough priceline for a good price (50$ per night) and the hotel was ok for what we wanted. Location very good (on a busy road but lots of shops and eating places around). Almost nothing is longer than a 15min drive away. Rooms were clean, decent size but a bit old and dark, renovated though... more

We thought we had booked a room at the Holiday Inn Express at Mission Bay, which we stayed at the last time we were in San Diego and were very pleased. But somehow we ended up at the Holiday Inn at Mission Bay/Sea World. I don't know if this was our mistake or their mistake, but I didn't make a... more
