We stayed at the Inn at Duck Creek for four nights for a friend's wedding on the Cape. Wellfleet is a cute fishing village, and you can walk to the town center and the local attractions from the Inn. Wellfleet is also an easy drive to Truro, Provincetown and other spots on the Cape. The Inn itself has a lot... more

We stumbled over tree roots to get to the carriage house. Then we climbed a steep narrow stairway to our rooms. My mother-in-law is legally blind and couldn't see a thing! We had to lead her up and down the staris. Our room had no chair and barely any room for our small suitcase. We booked at the last minute... more

First of all, Wellfleet is a lovely place for a holiday - its much less touristy than some of the Cape Cod towns. The Inn at Duck Creek was just what we expected - a slightly quirky country inn, friendly and very well located near the main route through the Cape, but not on it. Only iffy bit for some... more

spent three nights in the Captain's room in the main building. Lovely room with a double and single bed. Loved the couch and rocking chair! Staff and hosts were very gracious, friendly and welcoming. Continental breakfast was great with a variety of things to try. Dinner at the Tavern was terrific. Great value! more

I had a weekend free just after Labor Day and decided to head to Wellfleet, one of my favorite little Cape Cod shore towns. The Inn at Duck Creek is one of the few reasonably priced hotels in Wellfleet that's not on the main Cape highway (Route 6). I dislike hearing the sound of traffic so that matters to me.... more

The reviews are mostly accurate, but here are some points of note to be aware of: --the Carriage House is not such a great place to stay. We stayed for one night in the 2nd floor and that was actually OK (though the lighting is a bit faint) but the downstairs room we stayed in on our 2nd night (the... more

Revisited this lovely old captain's house inn after a few years and found things even better than before! The rooms are quaint, clean and comfortable...many have been spruced up since my last visit. The staff was full of local knowledge and kind enough to let me look around at rooms in the Saltworks and Carriage Houses, as I am looking... more

This is a tip really. The rooms vary enormously. The 1st and 2nd floor in the main house are quaint and nice. The Saltworks is also very nice. I would recommend them. They are quite basic but so so quaint and tastefully decorated. However, make sure you do not get put the the carriage house. It is dire. Or the... more

My overall impression of this hotel is that the owners seem to be raking in as much money with as little effort as possible. Here are a few reasons why: . Our rooms were superficially dirty and not well maintained. For instance - the drawers were too dirty to put anything in - the paint in the bathroom was so... more
