We stayed at the Ace for a business mixed with pleasure trip. The location was not too far a walk from lots of places. The area immediately around it doesn't have much, but the subway is close as well. The things I liked were the non attitude of the staff, the fact that the rooms were individual and unique (we... Stayed at the Ace for a recent conference with some colleagues. Each of our rooms was unique, both in layout and design. The bed was fantastically comfortable and the rest of the room quite decent. It had a large tub with a big rain-style showerhead. I was surprised how big the room was, given it's location. Loads of fun, designerly... More

Stayed here for four nights in May. Lobby loud and busy, but very quiet up on the 8th floor where my room was. Friendly staff from the moment you arrive. Upon checking out I discovered two cups of coffee had been charged to my room which I hadn't drank. This was removed from my bill without quibble. I was impressed... More

We LOVE stay-cations. We live in Brooklyn and love going to Manhattan for special occasions like Valentine's Day or birthdays. I decided to book a room at the Ace Hotel for my boyfriend's birthday. We ate at the John Dorey for Valentine's Day and I thought it would be fun to stay there a night or two. The hotel and... More

Thank you for your review, kissjill. I love that you chose Ace for your stay-cation to celebrate your boyfriend’s birthday! I apologize for the issues you experienced with temperature and outlets. I can assure you I will have a member of the Engineering staff check the room immediately and in the mean time I have noted the outlet issue in... More

Got a nice big room on fifth floor - a lot of noise from the street as they were building something on the other side of the street, in the night! Staff nice as always, but I didn't get my room cleaned the last night because the 30mins I was home before dinner apparently was in the time they would... More

I am in NY regular and used to stay at the ACE when it first opened. For a while the slacker meets hipster (slackster?) attitude was a bit of an issue, but balanced with great coffee at Stumptown (which saves on room service) ..I was sort of happy, and it was way better than the generic brands in Times Square... With its convenient location near the Flatiron district, lively vibe and good service, I will definitely return for another stay! The room was hipster cool and well equipped - I thought the turntable player was a nice fun touch. The lobby and lounge were busy most nights with live music and the crowd hanging out there is young and cool,... More

Have now stayed at this place on several occasions and it is, every time, almost achingly cool to be part of the world they have created. My only caveat to visitors would be that, as it has become the hot spot in this part of town for the beautiful or hippy-chic gang, there is generally a somewhat annoying and occasionally... More

Upon arrival I was greeted with a wall of noise in the lobby...it was a dance party & I immediately wanted to join. The fun, but first...to drop my bags. Our room was small, but exactly what we expected. Every hipster detail accounted for (flask shaped water bottles, a guitar, & the BEST bar fridge I've ever seen). We had... More
