We had a large group stay at this hotel. It's close to tourist areas, food and shopping. The hotel staff was very helpful and any issues were handled quickly and professionally. I highly recommend Smithfield on W 28th for dinner. Willie runs the place and chef Paul runs the kitchen.

I'm in NYC frequently, have been there 3 times just in the past month. Each time I've stayed at a different hotel, as I like to experience variety and gain a good persective. Unfortunately as I entered the very small lobby of the Doubletree Hotel Chelsea New York City, I was "greeted" by "Nick R." I use the term greeted... More

This hotel has a great staff, everyone is very friendly and helpful and always insures your stay is pleasing. From check-in to check-out, they go the extra mile to see that the guests are happy and comfortable. I have definitely added this to my favortites in NYC.

Very comfortable hotel in a very good midtown location. Some great views of the Empire State if you're lucky. Staff are great, Judy at reception was wonderful. Decent midtown Manhattan hotels aren't cheap, but the price was comparable (in May) to some of the more run down hotels. Good brand, keep your eye on prices / breakfast deals before booking... More

Let down by Crowne Plaza, nearest smoking hotel. Bit run down but the staff were great. Only issue was only two lifts so had to wait for lifts. Great location - five minutes from JCP and Macy's. Rooms could do with refurbishing. Room size small but standard for New York. Internet service serviceable. Overall a good mid-priced hotel, with great... More

Although the lobby is small and the room was compact it was well finished, modern, clean and comfortable. The hotel is tucked away not far from 7th although this is not a problem as it is easy walking distance from Penn Station. The staff were friendly and helpful. If I was travelling back to NY I would stay here again.

We stayed here over Easter. This is a small roomed hotel but very clean and the staff was very pleasent. You are close enough to walk to Times Square, north along 5th ave. Rockefeller Centre, Empire, etc. We so loved NYC and would love to return in the fall and see the beautiful fall colors in cental park. We were... More

I have stayed at many Hilton properties in the Chelsea and Herald Square areas through the years. I tried this one last week since it was two blocks from Penn Station and my train to Newark Airport. It is the same building style as the Hampton Inn and Hilton Garden Inn up on 35th Street. The rooms are small but... More

We enjoyed staying at this hotel. The location on 29th between 6th and 7th Avenues was perfect! We walked to Washington Square Park to the south and up to Central Park to the north. Lots of options for dining and shopping really close by as well as access to subways and cabs. The rooms are small, as are most rooms... More

The hotel is very well located, very close to the subway. and like 10 minutes walking to Times Square. This makes our trip better. Rooms are small, but clean and nice. If you try to go to your room in peak hours, you will have to be patience with elevators, there are only 2 for an almost 30 floors building.
