this hotel has a nice, quiet, UWS location, and is marketed as a family hotel. we were looking forward to an "updated room complete with flat-screen tv", but that must be some other wing, as our room was dated and dark, with an old tv. Room was in a corner, which was nice, with large bathroom. "Kitchen" was a tiny... more

My wife and I spent a week at this wonderful small and quiet hotel on the Upper West Side. It is located close to two subway stops and Central Park. The neighborhood is mostly residential. Lots of great restaurants are with close walking distance. The room was very nice. It was clean and appears to have been modernized. We highly... more

I have been meaning to write this review for months. Our family had our third stay at the Milburn this past summer and can report that it remains one of the great values in NYC. The staff was helpful and friendly (as it has always been), the refurbishing of the lobby is delightful, and the rooms -- while not new... more

The staff was rude, the rooms were disgusting and dingy and while the prices were relatively cheap (in this very expensive city), they were not worth the room. The staff gives New Yorkers a bad reputation. But NY is still a wonderful city, just stay somewhere else! more

The Milburn offers good value for stays in NYC. The building appears to be an old apartment house that has been coverted to a hotel. We had a 2 room suite for less than $300 in NYC. The bederoom and living room are quite large. The bathroom and kitchenette (sink, refrigerator, coffee maker and microwave) are small. Everything was quite... more

If you want to experience New York fully and to have a quiet place to sleep with a reasonable price, this IS the place. I booked through Expedia, which gave me 35% off of the room. Central Park and Riverside Park are just a few block away. My husband and I enjoyed a free kayaking on Hudson on weekend. As... more

We stayed at the Milburn for 10 days with two small children and my elderly mother in law. ROOMS: Were great, We stayed in a one bedroom suite which has 2 very very comfy double beds in one room and a sofa bed in the other. The rooms were spacious with TVs in both rooms, full bathroom and kitchenette. We... more

The Milburn was one of the few hotels we found which included breakfast at a reasonable price. Located on 76th street just off Broadway Ave the Milburn is just a few minutes walk from Central Park with the subway available just a few blocks away at 72nd & 79th street. Breakfast consisted of bagels, cereals, fruit, juice, muffins, cookies, tea... more

The location was great, as I prefer to be away from the madness of mid-town and Time Square, with subwayu stops within a few blocks in either direction. Countless places to eat and shop within a few blocks. The facilities were spotlessly clean. The breakfast was adequate, but some healthy choices such as fruit and yogurt would have been nice.... more

Other Trip Advisor reviews didn't fail -- I was very happy with this hotel choice for my first visit to NYC. I found it easy to navigate my way from Newark Airport, using the train from the airport to Penn Station, followed by a quick subway ride and a 4-block walk. Easy! The hotel's location is terrific. The Upper West... more
