Do you research - we certainly did - and I doubt you'll find better value in Manhattan. The host Anne is terrific with greeting you, and giving advice on getting around and restaurants. Rooms are adequate, we were in the French room which was noisy at times on account of the bustling bar across the road, but we weren't overly... more

This place was lovely. It was located in the heart of the East Village and was surrounded by bars, restaurants and grocery stores. We stayed in the Mexican Room and it was great. Wasn’t huge but was all we needed. There was a nice air con unit and a desk and chest of drawers. Free internet was on tap and... more

I loved East Village Bed & Coffee. The rooms are beautiful, if small, but very comfortable. The kitchen facility was nice (we used the fridge) and the bathrooms were fine. They were shared, but very close to the room and perfectly clean. My favorite part of the stay was speaking with the proprietor - she is marvelous! Had wonderful recommendations... more

After a tiresome flight from Düsseldorf, Germany (Air Berlin must have the narrowest leg space in the airline business) we were warmly welcomed by Harrison who not only showed us our lodging (French room) and gave us the tour of the house but also advised us where to go for a drink & a bite in order to lengthen our... more

My partner and I stayed here for three nights in September and loved the place. It was clean and although the 'beach' room was small it was perfectly adequate. The shared bathrooms were clean and we had no problems accessing them. The neighbourhood is nice. The only downside is that it is a bit of a walk to the nearest... more

My Partner and I stayed at EVB&C in April 2009 for 4 nights and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We stayed in the treehouse room, which was slightly on the small size but ok if you just wanted a bed for the night. Unfortunately it's located above the kitchen on the ground floor, so we were woken up a couple of... more

bed and coffee was great to stay in, self catering and couple of blocks from broadway. walked everywhere as it was so central. The lady who runs it was really helpful and gave good advice. Beds comfy and although you booked room within a flat, there was only three rooms in our block so we pretty much had the run... more

Great web site with lots of recommendations and detailed arrival instructions. It is definately worth getting on the bus from the metro if you have bags. Harrison, who showed us around was helpful and the place has a great personal touch. There is a computer/internet and phone on every floor and you can make free calls within NY. There is... more

I stayed in the Dutch room for seven nights in May and had the absolute best time. Anne met me at the door and gave me a tour, she is really warm and friendly and made me feel right at home. The dutch room is the smallest (i think, definitely the cheapest) room but for a solo traveller is absolutely... more

Me, my girlfriend and my brother went to NYC for 2 weeks. We saw all the positive reviews on TripAdvisor for Bed & Coffee and we booked 6 months in advance.... and what a great choice! Anne welcomed us when we arrived, showed everything we needed to know and directed us to the beautiful Black& White room. I read in... more
