We spent 4 days in New York with our two kids. The apartment was a good solution. For an italian kid it is diffiucult to get accostumed to a different eating style and cooking in the aptnt was of great help. Also the hotel wasn't a so good solution. Moreover resting for a while was a good idea to overtake...
