We stayed in this Hotel in October and were very happy with its cleanliness, hot showers, and general comfort. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was called a moderate double, and was compact but not too small, had a standard double bed, and excellent heating. Some might say that the heating was too warm, but we were... more

First of all, we were very happy with most of the aspects of our stay here - it is crazy-convenient (2 blocks to Union Square), the hotel is older, but well kept; staff was very friendly and accommodating, and our room was a pretty good size for New York. The bathroom was well-appointed, and we were happy to find an... more

This hotel is definitely a last resort. At $150 per nite it wasn't worth even that much. the room I occupied was very small but did have a nicely appointed bathroom. The room was reasonably clean. The problem was that the room had no temperature control and the heat would come on at random intervals. The room was kept habitaboe... more

Three firends were traveling, we were suppose to have 4 with 2 per room. That would have been perfect, but only 3 made it so we doubled up with 3 in one room. A bit tight that way, but was doable and was worth it for the savings. Location is everything here...so close to Union Square and subway/trains, major buses,... more

We are disappointed that you feel this way. Usually on the busy weekends it is very difficult to guarantee requested rooms, but we try our best. Apparently another guest was looking for towels and one of our maids was questioning why he was there in spanish. The staff members all know to keep the noise level down in the morning....

We checked into the Union Square Hotel on a Sunday. It was very quiet and the staff was great. I had suggested a lower floor since they do not have an elevator and I have a bad back. We were put on the 2nd floor, which was great. The room was tiny but enough for us. I do like that... more

Generally speaking you would say that the price you pay to stay at this hotel..( around a £100 a night )..is eccessive, as it has the feel of a budget type hotel, but of coarse its the location that makes it very worth while, with a subway link right outside the door...to set you on your way to any attraction... more
