This is probably the freshest/ cleanest feeling luxury hotel in Manhattan. Since NYC can be so gritty we really appreciate that about the Mandarin. The service is definitely not as warm as others we have stayed at but certainly efficient. We did have a problem every day reaching the concierge from the outside, though. Great hotels in NY are not cheap. The Mandarin is a great location... On Central Park, Near Midtown, but not as crazy as Times Square. I did a mixed business and leisure trip here for 3 days.
