We both really enjoyed our nine-day stay at West Eleventh, especially our final days in the Caravaggio. We preferred the quieter, rear garden view with the added bonus of the rain’s peaceful patter on the leaves during the evening showers. It was very soothing to us. Each day after walking many miles, my wife and I always looked forward to... more

My Mom and I stayed in the Marcucci room and loved it. The neighborhood is darling and quiet and literally a building away from the famous "Magnolia Bakery". You get the best of NYC--close to everything the city has to offer but at night it's nice to be in a neighborhood that isn't swamped or noisy. We did stay a... more

Great location and huge room (Leonardo room) which is rare in NYC. It is over-decorated for my taste. Good rate for NYC. I loved that it was on a tree lined residential street in the West village and two seconds from the Magnolia Bakery. If they could improve: Take out half the nicknacks and replace the tea kettle which was... more

Vacation Hijacked! Our stay at Wet Eleventh was a massive disappointment. We are two couples, my husband and myself and our son and his wife, who booked the ElGreco apartment over the internet. When we booked it was advertised as a two bedroom which slept 4 people. (This listing has since been changed to properly state that it sleeps 2... more

"You can't please all the people all the time", though we, at West Eleventh Historic Townhouse really do try.

West Eleventh is in a great location, well worth the change from central Manhatten where we stayed previously. Marucci apartment was very comfortable and fairly spacious. We didn't use the kitchen which is tiny but would suffice for very basis functions. Towels changed daily, rooms very clean. The location is fantastic with easy access to many restaurants, pubs and underground... more

There was no better way to experience the REAL New York than staying six nights in the El Greco Apartment at West Eleventh. The location alone is worth the "price of admission". Near more places to eat and drink than you could visit in a month but set back far enough that you don't feel as if you are sleeping... more

We were made very welcome in a lovely room that suited our needs exactly. It is in a quiet area with lots of interesting streets and places to walk but only a short taxi ride to the city centre. There are plenty of local restaurants and shops within walking distance. We would be happy to go back, hopefully next year. more

My daughter and I spent a week in New York, and stayed at the West Eleventh. The location is ideal: quiet and located in a safe neighborhood surrounded by lovely places to eat and shop. We were treated like VIPs by the owners and staff at West Eleventh and would recommend it highly. It is charming, beautifully appointed and exceptionally... more

This guesthouse has everything one could want except for the big amenities of a big hotel, i.e. no concierge, no gym-- one nearby-- no pool. (It also costs a third as much for the size room I had.) That said, ithe guesthouse is near more excellent coffee shops and bakeries than one can sample even in a long visit; the... more

Really liked staying here. It's nice and clean and the location is superb. We stayed in Leonardo suite which was spacious and comfortable, if a little dark. more
