We travelled to NYC for my partner's 21st birthday, finding the hotel to be in a good location, only a couple of blocks (lengthways) from Times Sq. and Broadway (plus Subway access), with a decent deli down the street and a range of dining and drinking options very close by: Everything from italian and spanish restaurants to classic Irish pubs... The Holiday Inn Express 5th Avenue offers small but clean rooms at a reasonable rate in a great location--two blocks from Times Square and the theatre district. The front desk staff were cheerful and helpful, the room rate includes a buffet breakfast at a deli up the street. In all, it was easy and convenient and I will check for... More

We stayed on Saturday in mid February. The price is good for NYC and it's in a pretty good location if you want to be near Grand Central Station (which we did because we wanted ot get to a number of other places both uptown and in Brooklyn). The rooms are small - but if all you need is a... More

We stayed three nights in January when they had just started construction work in the lobby, must have been hard on them but did not bother us. Because of that work they gave us coupons for breakfast at a nearby Café Manhattan a very nice and interesting place which we will visit again. The room was on a high floor,... More

The rooms were nice, but very small. The furnishing were neat, clean, and modern. The breakfast was good, but it was very crowded. The hotel staff did a great job of stocking breakfast food and keeping things moving. Great location - only two blocks to Times Square and a few feet to 5th Avenue. Lots of great restaurants nearby, including... More

I have stayed in this hotel a number of timese because I like the location and if you shop around can find it at good prices. But its just a bed, i.e. place to stay, nothing special. The rooms are small but clean and reasonably well maintained. That's why I stay here along with the location which is convenient but... More

My stay in this hotel was one of the worst experience ever. The management staff is arrogant, lobby is in under construction and I strongly suggest to avoid this locati on. Breakfast that they have arranged in nearby cafe is worst too. You feel like you are eating in some homeless shelter. Stay away......... More

Please accept my apology regarding your dissatisfaction with the overall service provided at the hotel. Our lobby renovation effort will be completed in February, and was noted on our website accordingly. We look forward to the finished product upon completion. We certainly strive to provide personalized service to our guests, and regret that a sense of arrogance was conveyed. Our... More

Is stayed here 4 nights and although the room was on the smallish side with limited closet space, it was very clean and had a nice updated look. The staff was very nice and accomodating. Breakfast area is small but the food is good. They were in the process of renovation while I was there though so it may be... More

Good and convenient location, a couple of blocks from Times Square and the Subway Station. Repair/Renovation taking place in the main lobby. For those unlucky ones who are put in higher floors, there's always traffic building up on wait for elevators (only two & slow!) Stayed at the M floor (below 1st!) so taking the stairs was not an issue.... More

This hotel is perfect for a visit to NYC. It is an easy walk to everything: theatre district - 2 blocks, Central Park - 14 blocks, every subway line, restaurants, clubs, all neighborhoods - it's all easily accessible from here. The hotel itself is not fancy, the rooms are not huge, but it is CLEAN, (NO bedbugs - a huge... More
