We stayed for a week in the Library suite. We have two teenagers so it was ideal, as the full height sliding screen effectively creates a second bedroom. Its really spacious - amazing for Manhattan - with full kitchen and dining facilities. The high ceilings also add to the atmosphere. You wont find anything else like it in New York... more

Spent a getaway weekend to celebrate my husband's birthday. Staying in the Vermont Suite was like traveling back in time. Just a short subway ride (a block away) to everything, yet located on a quaint and quiet residential street. No indication that the building is an inn, even from outside. No elevator noise, no voices, no running into other guests.... more

I travel a LOT--and because of this I usually stay in wonderful hotels. I recently was invited to attend an "Opera Weekend" in NY. I decided to attend w/ my 17 year old daughter. We booked the Opera Suite at INN NYC. What an amazing experience! The staff was always available, but never intrusive. Fresh OJ very day. Fresh pastries,... more

On our way back from a Trans-Atlantic cruise, my husband and I decided to spend a few days in NYC. A few years back we stayed at this delightful Inn (in the Spa Suite) and we had such a wonderful time there that we decided to return, but try a different suite. This time we chose the Opera Suite. After... more

My stay goes back several years ago, but I couldn't help to add my review to the others. It was on the occasion of my husband's 50th BD, wanted to stay in the city, and a friend recommended inn nyc. We arrived during a rainstorm, a member of the staff was waiting outside with unbrellas. when we needed transportation for... more

I don't have much to add given the quality and accuracy of the reviews thus far. We stayed at the Vermont Suite. I will re-iterate a number of points which others have already mentioned. Firstly, the spiral staircase is not suitable for young children (and they do mention that this suite is not suitable for children under 12 at their... more

While in town for a wedding we stayed in The Library Suite..When we were escorted to our suite ..through the elegant hallway a treat to the eye while classical music was softly playing as we made our way up the stairway past the stained glass lit walls. The suite was covered with floor to ceiling books, and a library ladder,a... more

Can't say enough good things about this place ! We stayed in the Vermont suite which was situated on two levels, joined by a spiral staircase - The whole place was just so welcoming and comfortable. The location was also great - close enough to everything you want to visit in this great city but far enough off the 'beaten... more

This is a very interesting place to stay but definitely different and may not suit everyone. It is comfortable and everyone is very friendly and I really enjoyed staying here but left then for a 5 star on Madison and when I go back, I will probably pick the Madison Avenue hotel. more

Just returned from my second stay. My husband and I work in the city and like to occasionally get theater tickets and stay the weekend. This is absolutely my favorite place to stay. Ruth and Elyn make you feel like your visiting a friends and they have given you your own suite and alot of privacy. On my first visit... more
