I stayed for 7 days in October/2012. Great location: one block from Central Park, lots of restaurants and coffee shops all around. Besides that, AKA has a small kitchen in the room. It really can be useful. The entire staff is very welcoming and efficient. Definitely my place in NY.

Great location for this beautiful and very quiet hotel few steps from Central Park and 5th Avenue. Very modern gym room. Spacious room with kitchenette with fridge and microwave. Bathroom elegant and clean. Café next door for rich breakfast and tea.

The lobby is unimpressive but functional, as are the hallways. The rooms, however, are generous by NYC standards and well-appointed, clean. Nothing showy, but adequate. They are especially suited to multi-day business or family travel and the permanent kitchen supplies generous. The bathrooms are a bit small. It is quiet.
