although in the center of manhattan, the rooms are very antiquated, and the TV might be considered obsolete by now, and it did not work, I got charged $25 for a movie I never saw. The first junior suite I was given was so dismal I had to change, and even then the improvement was inconsequential. More

Stayed here during April 2011 for five nights. The location is perfect, walking distance to all major attractions. Hotel is clean, staff are friendly and you will struggle to find a hotel that is better value for money. Recommend highly and would stay again with no hesitation. More

The Wolcott Hotel is dated and bit rough around the edges, but for the price it is hard to beat. We checked in with no trouble and the room was spacious. Stayed at the Wolcott a couple of times because it suited our budget and we wouldn’t have gone back if it wasn't clean and in a great location just off 5th Ave. The two lifts are very slow and it appears that once you're room is on a floor above the 6ht floor you have problem with your shower's temperature... We stayed 12-16 Jan 2012 and we were impressed by hotel. The staff were helpful and friendly when we arrived we were booked into a twin room so called reception and they changed straight away. Pleasant staff, nice clean hotel and comfortable. The location for the hotel is excellent. About 2blocks from Empire state and close to the subway. This hotel is quite old but is comfortable and clean. We had no issues with noise etc. Overall I would recommend if you are looking for a nice, clean hotel that is really accessible. More
