I'm not sure what they're trying to do with this place, but it's not working. *The showers are death traps. *Good luck getting hot water to your shower *The staff cleaned my room even when I had the DO NOT DISTURB sign on my door *I put my breakfast menu on the door at 9pm one night, only to find... more

First important parameter for a hotel in NY is location. Flatotel was perfectly located. Rooms were spacy and clean. The View from the 46th floor was magnificent more

I booked Flatotel four nights, but only stayed one, because it was so sweaty and congested. The lobby and elevators can barely accommodate all the guests. When we checked in, the entrance was blocked by a tour bus and the lobby was overflowing with guests lounging around on suitcases. If you want an elevator up to your room, get in... more

I stayed in a deluxe queen room with a bed so comfortable I nearly didn't get up to celebrate Christmas Day. Free internet. Great advice from conscierge. Great location close to Central Park, Times Square and Broadway shows. Room service very prompt. Room very spacious for one person and very clean. Bit of traffic noise from street but you expect... more

First, the good points: -- the doorman/bellhop who greeted us upon arrival was very friendly and very helpful -- a great guy who made us feel welcome -- the *second* room we stayed in (after moving from our "luxury suite") was odd, but generally nice, with a recently renovated bathroom and a decent king-sized bed -- the valet who brought... more

They say location is everything in real estate, and if it really was everything then Flatotel would be one of the top 5 places to stay when you are in NYC for shopping/theatre. While our room (#4501) was a huge 2-bedroom suite with spectacular views from all four sides of the building, it appeared that our room was in the... more
