My daughter and myself have just returned from a 5 night say at the Grand Hyatt. After reading reviews I was slightly concerned but I cannot fault the hotel at all. Its in a fantastic location within walking distance of major attractions and direct access to Grand Central station which is an attraction itself. We checked in using the automated... More

Let me begin with aspects of the Grand Hyatt that I thought were positive. Our room was very clean and the location is excellent. The gentleman who checked me in was very nice and engaging. He attended the University at Albany where I have taught, so we struck up a nice conversation. The elevators are a major drawback to this... More

Whatever I did there, it costed me extra money. The staff was always too busy to converse with me. Since it was my first time staying at a hotel in New York so I'm not sure if this hotel is a good value by New York standard. But for me it's not worth my hard earned money. And when compared... More

To be honest expected a bit more for such a price ( 260$ per night). Minimum of toiletries. Regular rooms are quite small. Location is great. Lobby always feel a bit overcrowded. No buffet breakfast only a la carte. bar is a bit pricey ( 18$ for a glass of wine). Be aware that there are two entrances . That... More

We were in NY for a girlie trip, 2 mums with thier 16 year old daughters. This hotel does not charge for children up to 18 so was fantstic value as we had a room with 2 double beds. The staff were exceptional. we were able to check in early, the room was more than large enough, clean with all... More

We stayed here mid February with our two children (7 and 6) for two nights. We flew in from Heathrow to JFK and decided to transfer in an iconic yellow cab! This was a flat rate $45 plus tolls and it took about an hour. We pulled up right outside the hotel but the name is on the side walls... More

We booked a trip to the Grand Hyatt hotel in New York the Hotel was excellent, despite our concerns the room was spacious and of good quality. The hotel was joined to the the Grand Central station which was a great place to eat and people watch. Visiting Ellanors star dust dinner near time square is a must as the... More

We recently attended a dance convention at the hotel and stayed overnight! What a beautiful hotel and very modern! It's also very clean in the lobby for having literally hundreds and hundreds of people walking thru every minute! The staff checking us in were very friendly and the process was done quite quickly! We liked the idea that you could... More

Recently, I took my soon to be 16 year old daughter and a girlfriend to New York and we stayed at the Grand Hyatt during the week of the Mercedes Benz Fashion Week. We had never been to New York before. We research our locations and since I had such a wonderful stay at the Hyatt in Key West, Florida,... More

The location is the only selling point of this hotel. The customer service is nonexistent. The hotel itself has a very corporate feel to it and just isn't very nice to stay in. The carpets and elevators are pretty dirty and unappealing. We tried to stay here this past weekend. When we arrived our confirmed King room was now two... More
