Walk 3 blocks away from the hotel and there's Times Square. I didn't realize until we got there how close this hotel was to so many major sites, stores, and subway stops. The lobby is inviting with plenty of seating and the front desk staff were helpful. There's 24 hour coffee, hot chocolate, and tea in the lobby as well.... more

standard Hampton, I would stray there again. Only problem was, no iron. Called the desk and no one answered, I knew they were checking in a large group and still trying to get about 5 rooms ready at 4:00 pm.,so I went down stairs and advised there was no iron in my room. They said they would send housekeeping. I... more

After staying at three other more highly rated hotels on our two visits to New York, was a bit apprehensive about what I'd booked at the Hampton Inn. It was much cheaper than the other hotels, but what a revelation it was. Foyer does not have the glitzy phoney glamour of so many other hotels in that area. Simple, but... more

Cannot say enough about this hotel! Had a few snags...no washclothes daily...no key in the safe...no desk chair. Can say when we called we were covered promptly. Front desk was great...had a lady concierge that was really rude to my husband but that was about the only rude human we experienced on entire trip. Traveled with hubby, a 16 yr... more

First trip to NY for our honeymoon. Would recommend this hotel to anyone, especially those looking for the downtown experience without the price. The room was nicely average. It was a little noisy, but it's downtown NY so expect it. We thought the breakfast was tasty and loved the cookies and coffee/tea available all day. Beds were comfortable and bathroom... more

One block over from Broadway and just a few streets from Time Square. Convenient to all the good restaurants serving the theater district. Rooms were small but furnishings were brand new. Breakfast has a lot of variety. Helpful staff. Very reasonable rates. No special amenities but hey, you are in NYC and who wants to hang out in their room?... more

My daughter and three of her roommates stayed here for two nights. As they were all 21 years old, and not all had been to NYC before, I was a bit nervous when I was trying to book a safe, clean and economical hotel for them. My phone conversations were all pleasant and informative, and the girls were all able... more

This place was great. It is very well located - a 5 minute walk from Broadway, 5 minutes from where the Grayline Hop on Hop off tours start and only 2 minutes from a subway station that opens up the rest of Manhattan. The staff are very pleasant and helpful and there are plenty of them around so it is... more

We have just returned from spending four nights at the Hampton Inn and i can truly say it was perfect. I was worried as I'd heard so many reports of the cheaper hotels in new york being tiny and dirty. However the Hampton inn was the oppposite of my worries. It was modern, clean with spacious rooms - we had... more

We just stayed there one night (6/7) for a good price for midtown...$206(incl. tax) for 4 of us. Our room was a bit small but very nice, 2 queen beds (very comfortable w/pillow top mattresses) on the 9th floor facing 8th St. The windows are insulated, so we didn't notice any street noise. Free wireless inet. Good view of the... more
