Stanford Hotel is a good choice if you want to stay in the part of New York, close to subway stations. Friendly staff, very good wi-fi. Simple but OK breakfast included in room price, which is very reasonable.

The hotel is old but is under some restoration. It is in the middle of "Korea Town" and 2 blocks close to the Madison Square Garden and 2 blocks from the Empire State. We stayed here for a few days for a sighseeing/shopping trip. You cannot fault the location, Macy's & Victorias secret right on your doorstep, not to forget of course The Empire State building. The breakfast is adequate and the rooms are clean and have free wifi. The staff were very friendly and helpful. A very good mid range hotel.

We stayed here for one night in March en route to Maryland via. the metro. The location of the hotel was fantastic! It was right near Macys and The Empire State on 5th Avenue, which are such a short walk if you want something to do in the evening. Look it's a mid range hotel so don't expect the ritz! It nice clean and very central, the staff are happy and helpfull, the location is fantastic, the bar is great for a late night drink and some nibbles( cheese board was excellent), free wi-fi,

The hotel is in the centre on manhattan located in midtown it's right next to everything. The breakfast isn't the best but at the end of the day your not the for that.
