The building is old, and it could use some cleaning or even renewal; it has no restaurant of its own but rather a diner in which the breakfast included with the room only has scrambled eggs with sausages or waffles with syrup. Internet deal of $160/night got me dirty room, dirty bathroom, poor service. Told to open window if I was too warm. Carpets worn and dirty. Was uncomfortable touching bedspread. Showering was terrible....temperature unexpectedly jumped from really hot to really cold. Other guest had shower head come off while showering. more

Went to the Wellington Hotel over 4th of July. The hotel has some age to it, but is clean overall. Rooms are smaller, but comparable to other hotels in NYC. Staff is nice and helpful. Great location, near all the hot spots in Manhattan. Would go back again. more
