Except for the electronic locks and the remote control TV this room could pass for 1977 instead of 2007. It reminds me of the HoJo's my family used to stay in on long car trips. To me it felt very homey and not worn out. Sure the carpet was buckling in one place and the shower door had the old triangle patterns of the old Howard Johnson's logo.But the room also had some nice modern touches like a coffee maker and micro fridge. Another nice touch was the complimentary sodas and snacks left on the table. I've never stayed in a place that didn't want to charge you $2 for a COke.

The staff was very friendly and efficient. I called at 7:30 a.m. to have the toilet fixed and someone came within minutes. It was one of those water saving toilets and it had gotten clogged.

The free airport shuttle is actually a taxi. They call one for you when you are ready to leave.

The doors to the stairwells had electronic locks which made me feel more secure. The old... more
