This hotel has a great location but that's about all. You can quickly walk to the state beach park and its a mile walk on a paved trail to the Ventura Pier. McDonalds and Dennys next door. The rooms are cheap and clean. It is an easy couple of blocks to walk to the beach and really great restaraunts. It is a five minute drive from historic downtown and the Ventura Pier. On the downside, because it is so inexpensive, the clientele tends to be on the colorful side, but management is quick to handle disruptive behavior.... more

Paid $55 rack rate. No gov't discount available. The parking lot filled up quickly. The room was clean and fairly modern, but smelled heavily of air freshener.
