25 Apr 2009 | Trip type: Friends getaway

The Sulphur Springs Inn is just a quick hour down the interstate from OKC and Norman but it feels like you are much further from the city life. If you are looking for fancy and posh--this is not the place for you. If you are looking for comfort, relaxation, a tasty breakfast and a national park out your front door... more

We counted 21 cats (several of them pregnant) all over the grounds of this unmaintained, smelly, over-priced tri-plex (that was advertised as a cottage). I feel that it should have been noted that this was a cat refuge for those of us allergic to cats or anyone sensitive to the smell of cats inside and out. If these people are... more

If you're a "first glance" means everything to you type person then you will miss the secret that is the Suplhur Springs Inn. My wife and I had been here before and Cheri and Charlie made us feel like family or life long friends. Our initial stay was so relaxing and special that we have returned 3 times. This past... more

This is a rustic and a peaceful place just outside the entrance to Chickasaw National Park. The inkeepers Charlie and Cheri are the most gracious hosts. Anything you need both are more than happy to help or know where you can get it.The inn itself is just gorgeously decorated in its time. You have to take the time to walk around... more

Interesting place, located right next to the park entrance. We stayed in a room in the bathouse over thanksgiving. In the bathhouse, the toilets in the rooms were just that, toilets in the rooms, with a folding divider between them and the room. We didn't expect this. The real restrooms and showers were shared, and downstairs. The downstairs lounge area... more

if you want a peaceful getaway to renew yourself. this is the place to come. This charming old bathhouse takes you back to a time gone by. this 100 year old building is just that, but the parlor, artistic and whimsical touches provide such a fun simple backdrop to the gracious generosity and care provided by the innkeepers/ owners. the... more

Although the facility looks great on their web site and it is just outside of the Chickasaw National Recreation Area, the cottages are not worth the $130 a day charged. Upon entering the office area, the interior smelled of an elderly person with poor hygiene. Next to the main building was a covered patio of which the support beams were... more

My husband and I spent a delightful time with the proprietors enjoying conversation and the facilities. They were very helpful in giving us information and where to visit in the area. Going back again and bringing some family. more

My husband and I decided last minute to take a drive from Dallas to Oklahoma. We booked one night in the Bathe House at the Sulphur Spring Inn. It turned out to be everything we were looking for and more. Charlie and Cheri, the innkeepers, make you feel comfortable without intruding on your solitude. The Bathe House has rooms upstairs... more

This was without a doubt the worst place I have ever stayed. The first night the toilet backed up into the BATHTUB. The owners said they would not charge me for that night, but they did. They moved me into another cottage, and when I flushed the toilet water come up into the sink. This was AFTER they told me... more
