We took our kids (10, 10, 11) and camped at the Flying Bee Ranch at the beginning of August in our travel trailer. They have water and electric hookups. There is an outhouse right nearby.
The area is gorgeous! There wasn't anyone around for miles!! We rode our bikes around the ranch and then cooked our dinner and watched the sunsest in peace and quiet!
We highly recommend the half-day ranch tour (although it's quite expensive for adults). The ranch-hand Curtis took us around their 4,000 acre ranch and showed us all the animals and sites. The kids tried pitching hay, feeding the cows, collecting chicken eggs and scooping horse poop! We played with the ranch-cats, found a turtle and sat on a big, friendly bull. He showed us the mad-made cave and the site of the first settlers to the ranch.
