I love Courtyard. I have been a Platinum member in Marriott Rewards for many years. This hotel is truly one worth bypassing. The staff is difficult at times. I actually make sure I check in late night to avoid having to deal with too many of them. The rooms are large but with very little furniture or pictures or anything.... more

The Newport News/Yorktown Courtyard is unremarkable, but perfectly fine nonetheless. There was only one negative and no overwhelming positives - a well-appointed clean room for a reasonable price close to my meeting location. I was there on a business trip and stayed for one night. Overall, the property seemed well cared for. My room was a standard double. The bed... more

Large, clean comortable rooms. My family of 4 (2 parents and 2 younger teens) spent one night here in August while visiting Williamsburg. I was very pleased with the clean room, very comfortable queen sized beds, and I especially liked the size of the room. With four of us in 1 room, there was plenty of room to "get around"... more

We only stayed a night, and we got in late. The room was dingy, the A/C didn't work well (and we needed it to work), and the carpet was sticky from the humidity (possibly because the AC didn't work well!) I'd avoid it because they charge prices that would suggest it's more upscale. It's a step above a motel, but... more

This is a good hotel that is near several restaurants. The Mexican restaurant in the small strip mall next to the hotel was excellent. more

Let me first start by saying the hotel staff was extremely friendly. They were pleasant, polite and helpful every time we needed to speak to them. The rooms and the hotel in general were very clean. Our room was very clean. We booked the king spa room. It was a bit strange that the spa was near the bed and... more

My husband and I were down in Yorktown/Williamsburg to go to Busch Gardens and the Coast Guard base in Yorktown. We had originally had reservations at a hotel in Yorktown but because the hotel was so disgusting and they refused to clean it or give us a new room we left. We contacted this hotel and they were extremely polite... more

I love Marriots and stay in them often, but this hotel was a major letdown. It was rundown (handle falling off endtable, rust in bathroom), and our room was not very clean (lipstick on jacuzzi and dirt footprints on bathroom floor). We payed way too much...$189 before taxes. Breakfast is a $9 buffet, so we didn't even bother and went... more

I usuallly stay at this hotel when visiting our head office on business. Although it seems to have got more expensive in recent times, it is very clean and modern, with all of the facilities you might need on a business trip. There are two restaurants effectively on-site, a Ruby Tuesdays for regular fare, plus a new Texas Road house,... more

I must begin by stating that the "but" in my title could be very subjective to some. Positives: great location, lots of restaurant choices within walking and short drviing distances. great location for all the local tourist attractions. quiet hotel. very clean: including gounds, lobby, rooms, linens, furniture etc etc. friendly and knowledgable staff. good valkue for the price. Negatives:... more
