Saddlehorn campground offers primitive camping with only water and toilets for amenities. At $20 a night, it is a tremendous value. Our site overlooked Grand Junction and the view was wonderful. The Bookcliffs view is easily walkable from the campground. The bathrooms were spotless and included flush toilets, hand dryers, and lights.
I keep trying to get into the state park in town because there's electricity there, but it's always full, so this keeps being the best back-up plan I've ever had.
