This is the 2nd time we have stopped in a standard apartment at Viewpoint whilst skiing at Mammoth Mountain. Good value compared to similar properties in the location. Big comfy apartments, nicely furnished with decent sofa beds and a great kitchen. There is also a big 12 person hot tub in the reception building. Great location being a 5 minute walk to the village gondola and the bars and restaurants in the new area. Lots of shops and restaurants along nearby Main Street including a fab bakery. There is a big Vons is in Mammoth, so lots of home cooking was had, made easy with the well equipped kitchen. Mammoth proved once again to be a top ski destination in the west. There is ample skiing to occupy an experienced skier/rider for a few days but it does not offer the same scale of skiing as found in some of the European linked resorts.
