avoid at all costs. A marvellous location but a dreadful place to stay. We had mice running around the room and when I went to reception the staff couldn't care less. The mice were clear to see, running across the hallway even in the middle of the day. Dreadful cleanliness, and an appalling attitude. This place does not deserve your... more

The Mammoth Mnt Inn should pay people to stay there. No rate is low enough for this hotel. Our deplorable room was located in the filthy annex building. I told the front desk person I felt like I was in a Super 8 ( never stayed in one and they are probably better) and she looked at me and said... more

I have been skiing in Mammoth for more than 25 years. It had been about 10 since I stayed at this hotel. I thought I'd give it another chance only because of its near ski-in, ski-out location. Unfortunately, it was as bad as I had remembered it, but with worse service. I had inquired if the room had been remodeled... more

The location is great for this Inn. The front desk staff were very good from my experience. It was nice they took our snowboards outside. We stayed in the main building for most of our stay. Very true about the paper thin walls and ceiling - you get to hear all boots, crying children....and rats. Yes one night we woke... more

We stayed in one of the Inn's bigger units- two bedrooms plus a loft. There was a master bedroom, decent kitchen, living room and ski closet downstairs. Upstairs was another master bedroom, the loft plus a guest bathroom for the loft. Bedrooms: Each master bedroom had king sized beds. The loft had two double beds. The beds had nice sheets... more

Front desk staff was indifferent, only a breakfast buffet at $18 a person what ever happened to a regular menu. The shuttle info was sketchy. Got a mini suite and it was at the end of the building, and we were awakened all night by snow clearing equiptment. Old tired hotel but could be rejuvenated. I think I would stay in the village... more

We read all the bad reviews before we went, and we got a huge discount because of the recession... but STILL, Mammoth Mtn Inn managed to fall beneath our already minimal expectations. Big things like the thinnest walls and ceilings imaginable with everyone clomping around in ski boots at all hours. And like all the single bed rooms being on... more

The staff was HORRIBLE. They were a perfect blend of incompetence and rudeness. The room was overpriced. Our toilet did not flush and the bathroom door did not close. The walls are paper thin. But, the worst part by far was the service. Then, when I got home, I had a number of unauthorized charges on my credit card. Plus,... more

But let me give it a try. 1. Staff - young kids who are not interested in giving customer service. Front desk failed to let me know I can pick up skiis (which I already reserved and paid for) at the lodge or print out the contract. Therefore, I went to the Main Lodge, which was very crowded and had... more

We had a big room with mountain view. The room created a warm atmosphere because of its furniture. Everything was clean, the bathroom was beautiful and we had a good sleep in the beds. more
