If you want to enjoy the outdoors as only the Mammoth Mountain area can offer, this is the place to stay. The Edelweiss Lodge is VERY ANIMAL FRIENDLY, and this made our outdoor experience that much more enjoyable. The Lodge compliments the surrounding outdoor area and the community of Mammoth Mountains. The one bedroom lodge fit my family of four... More

My best friend and I were looking for a place in Mammoth Lakes for the memorial day long weekend. We started our research by going to yelp and looking up the best places. To be truthful, this wasn't our first choice, but now we are glad we chose this place. Sue and Dale are the kind of people that really... More

We have stayed at many cabins in the mountains that allow dogs and this was the first time we received a doggy basket. It was helpful, thoughtful stuff like a doggy bowl, treats, poop bags and a blanket. Cabin #9 was very clean, comfortable with all the kitchen items we needed. We love Mammoth and we will definitely stay here... More

It's our 3 1/2 year old daughter and 2 year old dog's first time seeing snow. Staying at Edelweiss made this experience very pleasant. We stayed in cabin #9, which is the upstairs unit with a large living room and a small bedroom. The rooms are clean and well furnished. There were two large closets. The heating was good with... Dale and Sue run a very organized, hospitable and friendly lodge. The Lodge is starting to show its age, but the price, cleanliness and rustic charm more than make up for that. it is a bit far from the ski resorts, but the red line stops right near the lodge, so distance is not an issue with the availability of... This was a spontaneous Mammoth skiing trip for my kids who were home on Christmas Break, we were lucky to get this great room at a great price at the Edelweiss Lodge, and it was just what we needed. It was great to have a kitchen, big comfortable bed and pull out couch, good heating, a wood burning stove, nice... More

WIfe and I stayed over the Xmas break and we loved it. We stayed in #9, its a single cabin not attached to any other cabin. It was on the second floor and kind of pain for our small dog but other than that it was perfect. They really sell the dog-friendly aspect. They had a welcome basket for us... More

I have stayed here many times, over 35 years ago when my then best friend lived in one of the units. That apartment was nowhere as refined as the property is now. There are lots of very nice touches - the much better than expected bed and double top sheets, provided bathrobes, the stoneware and glasses in the kitchen, the... More

As always the room was clean and tidy. It had all the ammentities one would want for a cozy cabin in Mammoth Lakes. The welcome basket with Marta's cookies....and the dog welcome basket were special. This is a wonderful place to stay.

My friends and I stayed here last week. We have stayed at three our lodge/cabins in the Mammoth area and this one by far is the nicest. It was spacious and very clean. The little extras were thoughtful items - cookies made by Marta as part of the "welcome basket" - borrowing her Pam spray because we forgot to bring... More
