There may be cheaper places in Mammoth. But there are surely none better. Its an impeccable, virtually new Westin hotel with fantastic rooms and amazing service. And AMAZINGLY comfortable beds. Some weekends in the ski season it can get booked up pretty early, so we've stayed elsewhere in town, and paid lots of $ for pretty ropey places. Here costs... more

Took a trip through the Sierra's to see the fall colors and ended at the beautiful Westin Monache Resort in Mammoth Lakes. The room was beautiful, even had an electric fireplace and kitchenette. We recommend this resort. However, they do chart a resort fee but it goes towards internet and valet parking. more

We stayed here on opening day. It was busy but the service was great, food is excellent, staff is wonderful! more

The staff at the Westin did anything they could to make the stay as enjoyable as possible. Thanks to the bus driver who picked us up at a late hour, turned us on to the local resources of Mammoth and returned us to the hotel safely. more

The flat was huge: a living room, a kitchen, 2 rooms, 2 bathrooms, 2 terraces with nice views, 3 flats TV. Expensive but space, quality and cleanness everywhere. Pleasant swimming pool and very good garage (a car or a bus is always needed to go somewhere in Mammoth Lakes). more

Our family of 2 adults, 2 teens and 1 dog stayed in a 2 bedroom unit at the Westin Monache over Labor Day Weekend. The resort is a condo hotel and the 2 bedroom unit was spacious, very comfortable and furnished in a pleasant contemporary styling. The big dogs in the elevator started growling at each other. Had to wait for 4 elevators to get one without dogs. The pool looked clean & pretty. The bar was LA club scene. Folks seemed to relate more to dogs then people. Our bed was comfortable ... These are really condos ... not a hotel with a fun lobby.... more

We had a one night stopover at the Westin on our way from Yosemite to Death Valley. The hotel is just 5 minutes from the highway so a good location for a stopover. Mammoth Lakes is a typical wintersports village, fairly quiet in the summer. The room was excellent - a bit small (we had a 1 bedroom room suite)... more

The Westin is a luxury hotel/condo which is beautifully maintained. Most rooms have a kitchen but we preferred to eat out - we are on vacation!! The restaurant was good (we only ate breakfast there) but expensive. The service staff were not efficient, however, and there were not enough of them to properly do their jobs.
