From the moment I was greeted my stay at the Sheraton Philadelphia in University City just got better and better. It was a quick check-in, extremely polite, and helpful. They knew recommendations for food/entertainment in the surrounding area and city—and they we’re dead on with their recommendations! Rooms we’re absolutely fabulous—I mean free internet and desktop computers… it doesn’t get... more

I have to say that I do not impress easily. Most of the time when I travel I see Hotel employees who smile politely, and do their business that they're hired to do. That's all fine because you expect politeness from hotel employees. This hotel felt completely different though, this front desk treated you like they knew you. They weren't... more

Abondoned car totally dirty with spots rubbed off on the windows as if someone was looking inside to see if there was a body inside, Slashed tires. I mean dosen't anyone check this garage out? Such a tight squeeze in the garage that you scratch the bumpers turning the corners. Hard to turn into the spaces. Horrible feeling and poorly... more

convenient to U of P campus, ICA, walk to World Cafe Live - quiet breakfast, good value for hotel meal - very nice room with free computer and internet access in room - hotel is overall bland and a little beat up but better value than hilton in same neighborhood more

My husband and I chose this hotel because we are able to use Starwood points and because it is within very easy walking distance from the Presbyterian hospital; our primary Philadelphia destination. The time left after our appointments also gave us time to wander the city and do some sightseeing - the hotel is not in a prime location for... more

What a fabulous hotel my family and I stayed at in Philly! Great location on Penn Campus with wonderful local shops and restaurants in the area. The renovations going on at the hotel are looking great--newly designed fitness center was perfect for our daily workouts and the pool had a nice outdoor deck perfect for enjoying the beautiful weather. I... more

They are so right. This hotel was old, tired, and smelly. The restaurant must have been redecorated in the 1950's. And the service is terrible. I waited 10 minutes just to get a print-out I sent to the printer at the front desk. And, no one would answer any of the guest services or room service phones. The air conditioning... more

I stayed in this hotel because of work requirement. I found out the hard way that it is a little far from the downtown and touristy areas. There is a subway stop two streets away so that helps. But taking a cab can add up quickly. The room is what I would expect of a Sheraton although the carpet in... more

Location was perfect, since I was walking to the Children's Hospital each day. I found the hotel lobby charming and the staff very friendly. My room was clean & the computer was a perk. Found it a bit slow but was happy to have one in the room for emails. The bed was very comfortable, with lots of pillows. Only... more

I've stayed at this hotel many times, most recently two years ago. It's decent -- not terrible but never very impressive either. If you're visiting Penn or Drexel or one of the smaller nearby schools, the location is great -- but if you want to tour the city, you should only stay here if you get a great deal. more
