Phillie's just as expensive as any other major city & this location in their Central City neighborhood along with reasonable rates make this BW good enough. Front desk staff courteous & attentive. Plenty of free parking in the back private lot. Sorely needs an updating (halls are in various shades of lavender) but rooms are clean & quiet. Don't know... more

I stayed in this Hotel before when visiting the Philadelphia art Museum. The Location of this Hotel is fantastic as My wife and I can park once ( free at the Hotel- a great deal in itself) and walk to the Art Museum along the Benjamin Franklin Parkway as we did. We had a comfortable room with nice firm king... more

This hotel is really convenient, right off Ben Franklin Parkway, very close to the Rodin Museum and within walking distance of the Philadelphia Museum of Art, other nearby museums, as well as the historic (and very interesting) Eastern State Penitentiary. Parking is free, a rarity in this town, so there's no need to find a secure parking garage or pay... more

I've traveled throughout the US and the world to industrialized and non-industrialized countries. This is the worst hotel I've ever stayed at any where in the world, particularly for the price. They clearly don't use the money to invest in hotel maintenance--never mind upgrades! Everything was a joke: the "fitness center" was a 7x9' room that had outdated equipment and... more

stayed for 2 nights and it was about what we expected from looking at pics on this website. The place is just a bit run down and there is a musty smell in the place. However the rooms are ok and there is free wi-fi which is great. The location is very good (rocky steps just 10 minutes walk away)... more

If you want a great hotel experience, this is not your place. However, if you can get past the dark hallways and oddly painted elevators and the semi-rude staff, the room itself is pretty comfortable. The later check-out time of noon is also convenient. With a discount, it is worth what you pay, but no more. I would go back... more

This hotel uses the dog friendly label as a trap to steal from unsuspecting dog owners. It might as well be criminal. Here is what happened to me: my dog barked apparently shortly after I had checked in and had gone across the street to the convenience store for 5 minutes tops to get a few things. A neighbor complained... more

Location & cost - GREAT. Maintenance of rooms (fixtures, plumbing, etc.) - TERRIBLE! Accuracy of billing - fair/poor. It's all a real shame, because the location, behind the Rodin Museum, is terrific. To the front desk's credit, they were always responsive to problems, and provided another room. And, a month after the trip, all billing problems were straightened out satisfactorily. more

I just checked out of this Hotel and I absolutely had a great time. My children really enjoyed the pool and the staff was fantastic. We stayed for 4 nights and not one night did we experience what the readers are saying. The food in the sports bar was very good espec the Cheesesteaks. The FREE parking is definitely a... more

This hotel could definitely use a renovation. I've stayed here twice, once in 2004 and again in 2007. The service was ok. The rooms were just ok too, but they were clean and we didn't see any bugs. The location was excellent, walking distance to the gallery and South St. If you're on a budget and plan on spending a... more
