The inn is well situated for walking around the various neighborhoods. The decor is tastefully done in period pieces. The inn keepers are helpful without being overbearing. Got a little bored with the continental breakfast after the third day. Wine and cheese in the afternoon was a nice treat. Sat with other guests and chatted. The fridge was always stocked... More

This was actually my second stay here, and I enjoyed it just as much this time as I did during our first visit back in 2006. Our visits to Philadelphia usually center on the Revolutionary War history of the city, and the chance to stay so close to the sites in a historic house is definitely a treat. Apart from... More

As a solo traveller I found the Thomas Bond to be a lovely place to stay. Easily accessed from the Subway as I had arrived in Philly by train - really easy to find and get to. The central location was important to me and certainly filled that remit being close to the heart of the historical action, all within... More

Really great location within walking distance of the historical Philadelphia. Also near lots of nice pubs and eating places. Great hosts, love the wine and cheese each evening. Close to taxi stand too.

We stayed here last weekend and really loved it. The 1769 building really feels 1769. The location is great. There are a few downsides. The bathrooms are clean, comfortable but the shower doors are what would be considered dated. The windows could not be opened b/c there were no screens. Maybe they do put screens up closer to summer???? The... More

I stayed at the Thomas Bond House a week ago and I will not return. The Innkeeper in discussing the high cost of parking at a nearby parking lot suggested that my wife might want to try to "jew them down" to get a lower parking rate. I do not tolerate the use of casual expressions of bigotry. I believe... More

I stayed here recently and fell in love with the place! The house and rooms are beautifully decorated and extremely comfortable. There are also some great extras, such as a wine and cheese reception and constant coffee and snacks. The location is fantastic, right in the centre of the old city, plus it felt really safe walking around at night.... More

I stayed here with my husband for a little getaway weekend in November. The location was great, right across from City Tavern which I highly recommend at least for drinks just to check out the historic building and have the experience (more on that in a different review). The regular inn keepers were on vacation but the visiting keeper Gail... More

A wonderful little inn with a terrific location. I'm not one for crowds in the city and despise driving in high traffic. This was a great way to see the sights and experiences of downtown Philly without needing to get in the car and drive everywhere. The staff was very welcoming, and the house was decorated very nicely for Christmas.... More

Quaint guest house with characterful but small and noisy rooms. Most of the staff are charming, BUT beware of the manageress! Following an administrative error, her pugnacious attitude spoilt our stay. (See other similar criticisms).
