We stayed in General Merritt's Suite on the night of 30 March, and had a wonderful time. The suite is huge and has two separate bedrooms, with a very large bathroom too. The accommodations were nice but the owners talk about the Irish was terribly inappropriate. Don't knock the Irish from Maine and New York they were a big part in the winning the war! The facts were inaccurate and the comments were in poor taste.
