Like many of the folks who have recently reviewed the beautiful Doubleday Inn, I won't repeat all the wonderful things that were already said except to say that I would definitely recommend the inn to anyone who will listen. The "good" part of our visit is that Christine and Todd are genuinely nice people whom you can tell love what... more

My wife and i (from London) did a tour of all the eastern theatre US Civil War sites this spring. Gettysburg was far and away our favorite of all the sites we visited, thanks largely in part to our stay at the Doubleday Inn. Christine and Todd helped us plan our time in Gettysburg via email and thru the use... more

The Doubleday Inn sits on a hill overlooking green fields below. It sits on a residential street, just a few minutes drive to town. The Inn's common rooms are pleasant and clean. To access the bedrooms, you must either go up or down stairs. To reach the upstairs rooms you must climb a stairway with a very low ceiling. To... more

I highly recommend this B&B. My best friend and I spent 2 nights at the Doubleday Inn and had a wonderful stay. The first night we pretty much had the Inn to ourselves, there was only 2 other people staying that evening. The inn was very quiet and very relaxing. We may have had a ghostly encounter in our room... more

This B&B was wonderful! It is literally on the battlefield, yet is still quiet and peaceful. The rooms are spacious and decorated beautifully. The breakfasts were yummy. The innkeepers were great in scheduling a guide for us prior to our arrival, and gave us excellent directions to area attractions and restaurants. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and were so relaxed... more

My husband and I recently stayed here on a weekend getaway and could not have loved it more. Our room (O'Neal Room) was quite cozy and had a great view of part of the battlefield and part of the college. The inn keepers were extremely nice and served up a wonderful breakfast in the morning. At night, my hubby and... more

I have never felt compelled to write an online review but had such an exceptionally good experience at the Doubleday Inn that I wanted to share it with others who are contemplating which of the many b&b's in Gettysburg to visit. We were specifically staying at the Inn for a Lincoln package weekend that they hosted. I can't say enough... more

My husband and I stayed here for one of the Inn's special weekend packages. Although the weather was rainy, cool and damp - we still had an enjoyable weekend. The Inn is in a great location and is secluded and quiet. The Inn-keepers were wonderful and very friendly as was the mascot - Molly. Molly is great! Breakfast was excellent... more

We have been to Gettysburg dozens of times but always stayed at one of the area hotels. As this was my hubby's 45th birthday we decided to splurge and treat ourselves to a B&B. I must say, after our incredible experience at the Doubleday Inn, we will never be staying in a hotel again! The Inn looks even better in... more

Found the Doubleday Inn through the great reviews on Trip Advisor, and we are happy to report that it more than lived up to its reputation. The house is elegant but still comfortable, and everything you could ever want is ready for you in your room. The breakfasts were AWESOME...good country style food and plenty of it. We really enjoyed... more
