We have stayed at the Days Inn at Grants on previous trips to California. Grants is a good overnight stop on the way from Texas. I made a confirmed reservation at this motel prior to leaving home. I arrived at property about 6:30 p.m. the night of reservation only to be told that they had "given away" my reserved smoking room. Very big room, recently renovated. The walk in rate we paid with AAA was $ 69.95 +tax. The motel advertises with single rooms for $ 44 so we expected to pay a bit less than $ 70. Nevertheless we took the room which was good as I said. No idea why the rooms in this place cost $ 70 since... more
