My boyfriend and I went to Le Petit Chateau a couple of weekends ago and we both agreed it was one of the best weekends away! It is very easy to get to from NYC and was only 2 hours away. The Inn itself is so cozy and beautiful! The staff is what makes it even better. Chef Michelle cooked... more

Just 2 minutes from Rt 9 at Hyde Park this quaint vintage pond-view farm house converted to 4 suites has been added to our list of places to revisit (along with the Red Lion Inn in Stockbridge, Mass and Mt. Washington Inn in Breton Woods, NH) and often (as time & money will allow!). The innkeeper, Valerie, runs the inn... more

Sure it might be close to the CIA, but that's the downside. My wife and I came to Hyde park to get away. The owner Valerie doesn't know quailty service on a five star standard. She seemed to be hungover when we arrived in the afternoon and was rather rude as if we were wasting her time. The absolute thorn... more

we occupied all four rooms at the le petit chateau inn with family and friends to celebrate a 60th birthday for my partner and had a special, interactive dinner that was prepared especially for us by chefs, michelle and sarah, at the inn. The weekend far exceeded my expectations and we were treated to exceptionally beautiful and comfortable rooms, exceptional... more

Le Petite Chateau was a very enjoyable place to stay. The rooms and bed were comfortable, and we enjoyed the hot breakfast and morning coversation. Valerie was very helpful with restaurant advice and reservations, and she pointed us to a great winery for tasting. It is just a few minutes from the Culinary Institute, the FDR Library, the Vanderbilt House... more

My wife and I had the good fortune to spend an evening at "LePetit Chateau Inn" on West Dorsey Road in Hyde Park, NY. Settled beside a small pond and nestled in the woods, the Inn is a real gem. We arrived late and the light was left on for us; our room was lovely and well appointed: very comfortable... more

We recently spent a few nights at the Petit Chateau. Nutshell: Needs new beds and an overall upgrade to justify the high rates. The charming property is lovely, the cooked breakfasts are very good (although frozen concentrated OJ was served), but the rooms and beds are dated. The A/C worked well during our hot summertime visit, it is VERY close... more

We were stunned by the room rates for this run-down house, its rickety floors and less than efficient plumbing and linens. Perhaps we caught the owner at a bad time but this "chateau" was an utter disappointment.. Nothing French about it other than a few random pamphlets. Spare yourself the experience.... more

My children and I have stayed at Le Petit Chateau many times and enjoyed it so much that we invited our extended family to join us on our last visit . They were able to experienced the same fantastic service, food and accomodations that we always experience. The B&B is clean, comfortable, well situated and the breakfast is always fantastic.... more

There is a lot of hype about this place but it was awful. We did not sleep all night because they decided to open the windows instead of turn on the air! There was a dog barking all night that sounded like Cujo and the Culinary Institute kids who live above the garage partied all night! they boast some kind... more
