My daughter and grandson stayed here while seeing Astoria and the Goonie House. We stayed in the Tree Tops suite with a private balcony. Charlene the owner is a unique lady. Gruff, but likeable. Old Victorian home that could use a little updating, but we enjoyed ourselves. We will definately rent the same room if it's available. Nice to sit... More

Bed and Breakfast Inns are a mixed bag. I've stayed in all kinds. I think this is one of the good ones. Was it the most luxurious? No - but the price was right, we got everything just as it was advertised and enjoyed the stay. The lady who runs this place is a hoot. Her primary concern is that... More

Lets start this off by saying, this home has definitely seen better days. Ok now that we have that said. You must like vintage, and old grand Victorians. You have to see the beauty beyond the peeling dated wall paper. Yes the inn keeper still answers the door in her socks with her walker. We didn't mind that. She does... More

Last September, my husband and I went to Astoria on a weekend and we spent one night there, the place is an old house but clean and functional, the owner was very nice, breakfast was ok and very filling, there were several choices of hot drinks in the hallway that we could take to our room. Overall, we had a... More

There are not a huge amount of options within Astoria and the reviews on this were a bit mixed when we booked. However, my mom wanted an older house to get the authentic feel of Astoria. The reviews weren’t lying about the woman that runs this place. She’s certainly older and she has a very sarcastic sense of humour. She... More

We have stayed at the Grandview B&B two vacations in a row now. The view is fabulous especially from the Tree Tops balcony. The breakfast is wonderful, served in a beautiful dining room or breakfast nook overlooking the Columbia river. The owner, Charlene, made us feel at home each time we have stayed at her B&B. Each of the rooms... More

It is hard to know where to start, but suffice to say, we left this B&B and paid to stay somewhere else rather than stay the second night. When I booked this room for 2 nights , the proprietor (Charlene) informed me that there were rules to be followed; No drinking alcohol in the room and there was no watching... More

My husband and I recently spent one night at the Grandview B&B. We arrived late in the afternoon. The house is beautiful and on a quiet street uphill over looking the river. The innkeeper Charlene was very welcoming, and helpful with dinner suggestions. We stayed in the Secret Garden room on the third floor. I loved it. Everything was spotless... More

This is a charming old house. I suggest asking for a room with shades. The sun comes up very early. I also recommend the rooms facing north with a view of the river. Be prepared for smoked salmon for breakfast or let them know ahead of time if you have diatary needs. The two ladies serving breakfast are very nice... More

First of all, Astoria is obviously an historical place, gradually undergoing a refit, or a rediscovery of itself. A few places (houses, buildings, businesses) in town look run down or abandoned, and a few places have been fabulously renovated and rejuvenated to Victorian Glory. And there are places everywhere in between these extremes. I am guessing that the Grandview was... More
