I stayed here with some friends two nights in April of 2007. The hotel is located in a rustic, two-story wooden building that fits the local architecture very well. Downstairs is a nice restaurant/gift shop that serves a really good breakfast (closed for dinner) and has an awesome ice cream counter. Upstairs, there are only about 6 rooms with between 2-3 beds each. The halls are carpeted, but the rooms have wood floors. The hotel is clean, and the furnishings are decent. Our room was furnished with an antique armoire and night stand. The beds were decent.
There are no TVs in the room, but there is a poor quality big screen in a common sitting area at the end of the hall. But you don't come to Ft. Davis to watch TV anyway. There was no coffee maker or microwave in the rooms or the hall. The bathrooms were clean and updated.
Overall, I really enjoyed this place, mainly because Ft. Davis is a nice, quaint West Texas town in a beautiful setting at the foot...
