The reason for the excellent rating is, truly, the service we received from everyone at the hotel. Granted, the room could have used a bit of updating, but my husband and I had two large rooms (sitting room with TV and bedroom with a very comfortable king-sized bed and TV. The bathroom was large and had tons of counter space.... More

Pier V Hotel will not only hold a special place in me and my husbands hearts because it's where we got married but because of how impressive the staff and hotel our in general. We went back to enjoy the hotel and all it has to offer over the weekend to celebrate an early Valentines. From the moment we were... More

Because I was traveling for business a separate business account was used to pay for part of my stay, I had to make the reservation over the phone. When I arrived at the hotel, however, I was informed that I had to pay more than twice what I was quoted over the phone when I made the reservation. The woman... More

The location very very good. Near everything in the Harbour. Room was small, and very dated. The toliet was old and rusted. Not a good value for what we paid per night. Heating unit was so noisy that you would have to turn up the Tv everytime it came on. Sliding glass door was old the cold air would come... More

My wife and I decided to stay at Pier 5 for our honeymoon. We were treated well and given quite a few coupons and perks upon check in. The room was fantastic, the hotel was very beautiful. I loved the location. I wasn't impressed with the restaurant, McCormick & Schmicks in the hotel, but besides that I have absolutely no... More

"Tired" is the best descriptor of our stay at the Pier 5. It describes both the decor and our state when we left the hotel due to the ceaseless running of the heating unit. With some updating, this could be an outstanding hotel. The location is perfect--halfway between the Inner Harbor and Fell's Point. There are numerous great restaurants and... More

Overall the experience was pleasant. We too - similar to other reviewers, used a Groupon. Despite not paying full price, we were treated as any other customer and received all of the promised coupons for drinks and towards dinner. We attended the first night the "Crabby Friday", where a crepe making session was held. The 'chef' made the event enjoyable... More

Pier 5 Hotel is a great hotel. We were made to feel welcome from the time we pulled up in front of the hotel. The door man came to our truck asked if we needed help with anything and if we like valet parking or if we like to park ourselves. He even told us the prices. We choose to... More

We stayed at this hotel for two nights in January because of a groupon deal we received on the internet.($200 for 2 nights) When we arrived, we were informed that parking was a bit of a joke. We either had to pay $38 a night for vallet or $22 a day for the other garage. We stayed on the second... More

Ruth the banquet manager is the worst person you can find there. I stayed there and I attended a dinner and was absolutely disrespected by Ruth. She was very rude and made gestures that I am stupid because I asked if the bar there was an open bar. Besides Ruth I had an awesome night almost derailed by Ruth but,... More
