The Abacrombie appears to have once been a very nice place to stay. That is no longer the case. There is no evidence of a staff -- the only person we saw was serving breakfast. Signs clearly warn against parking in the lot without a hotel parking pass but there are no passes (and, of course, no one to ask... more

My family always stays at The Abacrombie while visiting in Baltimore, so I was only happy to recommend it to a friend when they wanted to visit. I had heard that there had been some changes with the restaurant, but had not heard that there had been a chnage in owners since our last visit. When my guest arrived there... more

First of, the hotel and restaurant are separate businesses. We really enjoyed the restaurant and highly recommend it but this review is for the hotel. We stayed here a year ago and had a great experience but our recent stay was quite the opposite. We arrived mid-afternoon and there was no one from the hotel around. The manager from the... more

The poor service really overshadowed our stay here. It was hard to get anyone's attention. At the restaurant, we sat down at a table and were given menus. 30 minutes later we had yet to order and it became obvious that we were being ignored (the staff was around, just not coming over). After 15 minutes I pulled aside the... more

We stayed one night at the very comfortable Abacrombie B & B in early November, 2007 while visiting our granddaughter at Baltimore's MICA (Maryland Institute College of Art) nearby. Our room ($115 a night, midweek for two people, $88 for a single) was on the second floor, immaculate and charming with an en suite bathroom. More expensive rooms go for... more

I had a perfectly dreadful stay at this so-called inn October 12. It started out with a mislabeled key with a number for which there was no corresponding room. I had picked up my key earlier in the day and got in at 11 p.m. only to be left wondering where my room was. There was no one available in... more

A good thing about this B & B was that it was easy to find. On the other hand, I like B & Bs because there is a host and/or hostess, but when we arrived, there was no one to greet us, no directions to the room, and nowhere to sit and rest before going up to the room. The... more

After seeing this place on a segment of Rachel Ray's Food Network show, we decided to stay with them as they offered a mid-week room/dinner package and we'd be in town to see a concert at the pier. We were booked well in advanced, and the Inn called us the day before we were to arrive to inform us that... more

We have stayed at the Abacrombie several times in the past. As noted, the Abacrombie has changed owners, and there is a new cook at the restaurant. The restaurant is as good as it ever was. The Wed, Thurs midweek special of a room and dinner for two is a bargain. The A is located within walking distance of many... more

I've been to many B&B's, but this one was the worst out of them all. Not only does the B&B need a serious revamp of their guest quarters (i.e., sink is peeling away from the wall, to serious cracks in the shower), but they seriously need to take care of their bedbug issue. I was bitten overnight and woke up... more
