Location left much to be desired: we were told it was pretty close to Inner Harbor, which it wasn't; there is a trolley, but after dark, even walking a block or two from trolley stop to hotel was a bit scary in the deserted neighborhood. The long walk during daylight wasn't scary but also wasn't pleasant. Was less expensive than... more

I booked this room off of the internet, the pics on the site were nice, but when we got to the hotel and I went in I could see the the building truly was built in the late 1800s. The building was situated about 12 blocks or so out of the "Inner Harbor" part of town. The neighborhood is not... more

My wife and I were scheduled to stay there for Preakness weekend. We had a family emergency and cancelled within 24 hrs. We were then told it was 48 hrs. This was never discussed before. We asked that since we were also losing our Preakness tickets if we could not lose the room. The general manager made it very clear... more

I contacted the hotel and reserved a room over the phone 1 month prior to our arrival date. I called to confirm the reservation 2 days before arriving....I was told I was all set and they would see me 2 days later. I arrive twenty minutes after check in time and was told my room was cancelled. They had NO... more

This hotel is ideally situated for seeing Baltimore. It is a 10 minute walk from Baltimore's Penn Station so you can come in on AmTrak or Marc trains. It is 2 minutes to the urban light rail stop. The neighborhood is extremely walkable and I walked all over the city during our stay. The Mount Vernon neighborhood is extremely well... more

Quaint and quirky are the polite terms to describe this place. It certainly feels like your imaginary great-grandma's big-city rooming house (or did she run a halfway house?), with all that entails. It's not horrible and does indeed have some charm, but it's hard not to feel a little cheated by the poor upkeep and service. Yes, it's one of... more

This place has seen its best times decades ago. It is dirty (I had the obligatory blood stains on my towels) and smelly (even with opening both windows fully, I could recognize the smell in the morning). I left the place after one night (and would have done it earlier, if I hadn´t arrived in the middle of the night).... more

The question is not whether this hotel deserves X number of stars, but whether it should be condemned. It is nearly falling down - the floors are all badly caving, window sills are rotting, the walls have holes and are erupting with water damage, and the bathroom piping and surround is badly damaged and barely functional. The hotel is also... more

Biltmore Suites is ok for a quick, overnight stay - especially if you are looking for an inexpensive room in Baltimore. The staff is very accommodating & pleasant, but this charming inn is in dire need of renovation. Overall, the interior decor (both in the common areas and rooms) is old - a "grandma" look and feel with Salvation Army... more

We stayed here as a group attending a friend's wedding. I fell in love with this cute little hotel. It is a truly unique experience. It helped that everyone at the hotel was there for the wedding, but I certainly fell in loooove with this facility. Very cute old fashioned hotel. We had a nice little balcony that we could... more
