After reading some of the reviews, I think we must have been staying in a different hotel. This place is wonderful - the staff couldn't be nicer or more helpful. When I asked the front desk to call a cab service to take me to the train station, they had their free shuttle service take me. The rooms are clean,... more

Thank you for the great comments about the Tremont Park! We do have the ideal location, nestled in between busy St. Paul and Charles Streets. St. Paul Street is Baltimore's premier downtown business address, home to companies that neighbor the Tremont Park such as CitiFinancial, Verizon, and Mercy Hospital. Charles Street is Baltimore's unofficial Main Street and features a variety...

I need to comment on our recent hotel stay at the Tremont Park Hotel in Baltimore. My first comment is I would immediately stop recommending this hotel. First of all it is old and dated and in terrible condition. The sinks were coming off the walls. The bed linens were old and some were ripped. The a/c was not working.... more

Clearly, all aspects of your stay were a major disappointment and we certainly apologize. Please contact Emile Debsia, the General Manager of the Tremont Park, by telephone or letter in order to further follow-up so that we may better respond on a personal level than what I am able to do on Trip Advisor. We certainly agree that the hotel...

Don't take the elevator or a shower (the hot water flow is unpredictable). Beware of the $20/night charge for parking. The fitness center is small but surprisingly updated. The floor in our room was crooked and creaked. The bathroom needed renovation. If you want to eat at the restaurant, it will take some time before someone notices that you're there.... more

Thank you for posting your feedback about the Tremont Park Hotel! You've noted the parking charge of $20 per night with a warning to others. I will take your comment a step further--try finding less expensive parking at a downtown Baltimore Hotel! Parking fees range from $25-$35 at nearly every downtown Baltimore hotel. However, throughout July we are waiving parking...

This property is old and tired. The room decor is thrift store finds. This is not where I want to rest my head after a busy travel day. As bad as the room decor was, the hotel staff was the worst. Only the valet seemed to have had some type of customer service training, the others were just clueless. I... more

On behalf of the entire Tremont family, I certainly apologize for your negative experience at the Tremont Park Hotel. I am glad that you relocated to the Tremont Plaza and enjoyed your stay with us there. While we certainly agree that the Tremont Park needs renovation to improve the decor, I was stunned to read your comments about the staff...

We weren't expecting much for the price but I was pleased by the cleanliness of the room and the friendliness of the staff. The decor was kinda tacky. I didn't utilize the amenities such as the shuttle, restaurant or lounge, but I asked the woman at the front desk to make sure we had a cab to go back to... more

Thank you for your balanced review of the Tremont Park Hotel! We acknowlege that a renovation is due for the guestrooms at the hotel, and one will be forthcoming beginning at the end fo 2008 and into 2009. We appreciate your comments about the great service you encountered, as we strive to give great training and to empower our staff...

Hotel needs renovation. The staff is very friendly - The hotel offers live jazz on friday & saturday nights. I must say I was impressed for a small hotel. more

Thank you for your warm comments about the Tremont Park! We spend much time, money, and effort to ensure that the staff at each of our properties stands out as the best in Baltimore. A caring and well-trained staff truly makes all the difference. And you meantioned the word affordable--our hotel is a 6-block walk from the Inner Harbor, and...

This hotel was perfect for us! All-suites, separate rooms for my BF and me and my teenager, clean, spacious . . . Cookies and lemonade at night and danish and coffee in the morning. I even got a break on my valet parking, a MUST in Baltimore. Even let us check out late . . . Its a bit of... more

The first room we were given reeked of cigarette smoke even though we were told it was a No Smoking Room. The housekeeping was poor, dirt under furniture, etc. The general upkeep of the place was poor. To top it off our car was returned to us by the valet parking staff with a large scrape on the front bumper!... more

This hotel was a beat down. The elevator takes about 8 days for just the door to close and then another 8 to get to whatever floor you're going to be on. I stayed in the penthouse which felt like being in a 1970's apartment. I had no hot water the whole time and my friends on other floors didn't... more

The valet parking was nice, but it will cost you $18 a night to keep your car in their lot. Not a great location if you are attending any function or conference in the Baltimore Convention Center, it's about a 6.5 block walk or a $6 cab ride. The Tremont Park Hotel does not have individual controls in each room... more
