Perfect location in the heart of old town Savannah. We luckily got a room at the top floor with views of the old-town / bridge with a walk-out balcony. The rooms were very clean and comfortable with one exception: the door creaked so loud that it would wake up the dead and there was not enough sound-proofing.

We came to Savannah, GA from Jacksonville for a Fri-Sun getaway from home.
While the Hilton Savannah Desoto is not in the main Broughton, Bay, River St area it is a short 10-15 minute walk from the hotel and I think it was like a $5 cab ride. Very central location that is close to Forsythe Park and Civic Center....

Very nice hotel within walking distance of historic Savannah. There is a trolley stop right around the corner if you want to take the tour. They have a very nice breakfast in the onsite restaurant. The room was nice, service was good. I would stay there again.
